MissionRevolutionizing Diagnosis with Advanced Monitoring Technologies

Ultra-sensitive technologies
cutting-edge

At the Regional Innovation Center Single Molecule Digital Assay, we engage in the application of new technologies for biochemical analysis for the diagnosis of oncological and infectious diseases. We use state-of-the-art methods both molecular, for the detection of nucleic acids (DNA, RNA), and antigenic/immunometric for the detection of proteins (antigens, antibodies). Our mission is to harness these technologies as powerful tools to assist clinicians in early detection of progressive diseases and monitoring of chronic and infectious diseases.ies.
We recognize the crucial importance of these technologies not only in the biomedical field, but also in ‘precision agriculture and sustainable farming systems, as well as in animal health monitoring. We aim to provide advanced, high-performance solutions ranging from diagnosis and monitoring to personalized care and therapeutic response assessment for diseases with specific validated markers.

Toward a one health approach

Strategic Relevance

We recognize the crucial importance of these technologies not only in the biomedical field, but also in ‘precision agriculture and sustainable farming systems, as well as in animal health monitoring. We aim to provide advanced, high-performance solutions ranging from diagnosis and monitoring to personalized care and therapeutic response assessment for diseases with specific validated markers.
We address the challenge of invasiveness in traditional assays. Our goal is to develop high-performance point-of-care (POC) enabling technologies with a limit of detection (LOD) at the single molecule level and a very low false-positive and false-negative rate (< 1 – 5 %). These technologies will be capable of detecting both molecular markers and proteins in peripheral fluids such as plasma, serum, urine but also saliva, offering a less invasive and more accurate approach.

Reducing Invasiveness

The future of diagnosis

At the Single Molecule Digital Assay Regional Innovation Center, we are determined to shape the future of diagnostic technologies through innovation, research, and ongoing commitment. Our mission is to equip clinicians with the attacker’s advantage through more accessible, less invasive, and more accurate diagnostic tools for the well-being of all.
